Whheeeeyewwww!!!

After all the mugging for the past few weeks, I finally get my deserved holiday!

Although it's just a 3wk break, but at least BREAK!

Which means I still get to wind off to my ~lala land.

And seriously, having back to SP, hitting the books all over again instead of having rounds of duty during attachment is a massive change-over.

What's worse is to have a consecutive 5-day exam period to kill me.

Anyways, I survived in the end having almost-sleepless nights.

I had a wonderful Rapunzel movie with the girls on the last day of exams despite having just 2 hours of sleep the day before. Unusually didn't feel a single tinge of tiredness. I was mad happy that day because I finally got over it!

I love holidays, I love holidays, I love holidays.

Till then! Time to get a haircut!

A new/last semester

School has started into day 2. Yes, I feel out of place everywhere. Be it roaming in SP, being with friends again since we don't meet that often and sitting in classrooms listening to lectures throughout. Really out of place but still adapting. Rotting for 2 months is no kid, practically nothing to do with books and just lead life like a freedom-kid. Then study suddenly came into picture without you realizing that time has passed a big lap. That's reality.

Really envy why people can lead life so wonderfully. Like their social circle, the things they do and the character they nurtured. Like why aren't I this way? This is the question I've been asking myself for years. I haven't got my answer. I'm just a super plain-jane, into-my-own-world, anti-social girl standing on this piece of land.

This sounds a lil emo-ish, but I'm still sticking well to my motto: cheerful n motivated towards life.

And may god bless me to be a happy kid! =)

I admit that sometimes I really do wonder if you exist.

There is a part of every little girl’s heart that envisions her prince charming. At age three, it is usually of a man who can save her from the wrath of an evil stepmother, wake her from eternal slumber or give her that true love’s kiss.

In elementary school, he becomes the boy with the least cooties, the one who’s willing to cross the playground to share his Oreos even if it makes him a target for the week of all the other boys.

Come high school, it’s that boy you stand with at prom, who your father stared down at the door, who provided you with an experience complete with photos you will cringe at a decade later, a corsage that yellows in the refrigerator, and a faded memory of a night that seemed almost too magical to be real.

Nineteen years into this life, however, and still unwilling to give my heart away, I am still that same little girl who hopes for her prince charming. And although I wonder why it has taken you this long to sweep me off my feet and whisk me off to your palace on horseback, I know that it is probably because meeting you will be better than any fairytale I could’ve read as a kid.

After a few years wiser though, I will admit that there are times when I question your existence. Because I have yet to meet the guy who makes me hear songs like “All My Life” or “A Whole New World” in my head when I see him, does not mean I don’t hope that it’ll ever happen.

I may already know you or may still meet you someday—something I leave completely up to God because I’m pretty sure our story will be epic.

However, I can’t promise you that I’d make the world’s most perfect princess. In fact I’ll probably keep you on your toes and amuse you with my eccentricities—there are a lot of them. I’ll probably steal a bunch of your T-shirts and turn them into shirt dresses, or drive you slightly mad with my obsessive compulsivity and my need to fix your collar constantly.

I can promise to be your best friend however—that person you can rant to after a rough day, the hand you can hold when you get sad, or the person you can text when situations get awkward.

I’ll probably mess up your hair sometimes and hug you for too long, but that’ll only be because I absolutely adore you. I’ll bury my head in your shoulder during scary movies and make you feel like superman when you kill those flying cockroaches that really shouldn’t exist. I’ll cook your favorite food on your birthday and try my best to make friends with your mom.

I’ll respect your nights-out with the boys and make you seem like the perfect guy to my barkada (group of friends). I’ll watch basketball or soccer games with you, and cheer loudly with you at the TV set.

I’ll know the difference between giving you space and being constantly there for you—even if it means sitting and playing video games with you or taking hot chocolate runs when it rains.

I’ll listen to your music and we’ll go on epic adventures together—seeing the world, taking awesome pictures, eating awesome food, and never running out of things to tell each other along the way.

I won’t be waiting for you to sweep me off my feet and take me on a magic carpet ride, because I know I won’t need anything like that to fall for you—I will love you for you.

You will be that someone to make goofy faces with in pictures, to lace fingers with when I’m lonely, and to take long walks under the stars with on the beach.

You’ll be the guy who takes me the way I am—and will laugh as I burst into a Disney song or pick out bubbly wallpapers.

You’ll be that someone I envision a future with—us, filling out visa forms as we travel the universe, picking out our first dog together and arguing about what to name it (although you have to let me name it no matter what!), or being snap-happy stage parents in our preschooler’s annual mini-plays (this happens only when you can change my mindset of kids!). And I keep hoping that maybe someday when we find each other, you will become that someone whose smile I wake up to in the morning and the last one I speak to every night.

So to the man I know that does exist, and who will help me maybe make sense of the world someday, this man that can’t wait to love me. Please know that I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. But for now, I wait. Fingers crossed and palms held together, I hope that you’re out there somewhere, waiting for me, too.

An update on my pre-holiday

Happy holidays! =) Happy early National day! =) Happy Youth Olympic Games! =)

Holidays are simply the best rewards after 3 weeks of mugging. And even weekends off nothing to do with studying makes 24 hours more than it really was.

Movies I watched this month: Inception and Salt.

Dramas: I chionged with my mother the hk show now airing on wkends. Plus Private Practice. Ooo i love being a potato couch at times like these. =D

But on the other hand, things don't go perfectly well too.

Like today, the first day i start off working since the end of exams and i receive attention letters that puts me off seriously. But assurance made me feel better at the end of work. I was even considering of ending this routine work and finding reasons for it. Because i no longer find satisfaction in it. =( Nonetheless i decided to stick to it again at the end of the day.

Something personal: My skin... is deteriorating. My left face to be exact. Every women's month is like a tide for my skin. And before the cells even had time to recover, another new month comes. This routine goes on forever and it DOESNT HEAL! I'm losing confidence on my left seriously. =( And today I'm having another constipation. I think I'm dying.

Alright, enough of those worryings. Right now i just need to enjoy my national day, yog, and plan the fun things to come before sch starts again.

Holidays are times when you broaden your scope, look further ahead and widen your concept.

On the side note for my friend, stay strong. I wonder if you know if I'm referring to you.

I may not be the kind of person that directly consoles or shows my concern, but it doesn't mean I don't care. So here, just stay strong till the tides went over. =D smile in the meantime!

I'm super proud of croc! Because it's my first time play the hook-ring-onto-bottle carnival game and i got it in! I really had birthday luck that day! All the other game prizes don't matter anymore when i got croc. And i love the geeky specs! Even bird loves it so much that she wore it during work!

I was super looking forward for internship during the exam period

because when internship comes, means holiday! And i thought i would

It's so amazing how people connect to each other.

I read novell's and jessie's blog and realised this connection.

Novell was saying julia is the one she turns to when she's down because julia cheers her up.

Jessie blogged me(flattered) being the one that cheered her up last week when she's down.

And me, turn to both of them when i'm down!

*amazing~ like how each and every one had someone to turn to. This is what friends are for.

Of course, clsy is still remembered. it's just that sometimes things related to work seems to get understandings from the same party.

the afternoon session was fun. at the end of the day, one of the techs did a fetus ultrasound on another tech using the heart echo machine. cool! you really see the baby! free some more. haha.

It's been a long time since we 6 gather together.

Sometimes I just hate the way I socialize. I can't seem to dig something to talk even if I would really want to. I don't know. I know I miss them, but just so that I can't seem to express. I wished I was active enough to pull the distance. I'm not upset, just wondering why am I acting like this.

School's starting without me even realizing. But I'm glad I made full use of the days. The number of dramas I've watched is awesome! Lost count of them. Dreading orientation because this means studying gets into my routine. ;(

My neighborhood is as noisy as it can be. All the construction in progress my goodness. The lift upgrading thingy, upgrade this and that. Now I have to wait twice bit longer to get in the lift. The drilling makes up my wake up call everyday.

Just started cinderella's sister. I love watching vikii vids because I always end up laughing at the comments and neglecting the subtitles. A little bit about the story, I can't stand the mother. A flash of gold totally changes her attitude, even neglecting her daughter that helped in her escape from that irritaing husband that drinks and beat people up. Boils up my anger but nonetheless, I'm still keen in watching. =D

Results! I'm really happy for what I've earned for this semester, seriously(although my cumulative is still far from my target). My hopes were not held high because of all the ups and downs in the semester. I ruined intro pharm and HA, I planned for the worse yesterday night.

I told myself if I score badly, I'll emo for the day. Sink at the couch, depress for the day.

If I score well, I'll bring my dog for a nail cut.

And tada! I brought my dog for grooming! He's really afraid of grooming, in fact he dislikes people cutting his oh-so-feminine nails. -.-

I had a hard time walking him there, ended up we both panting hard when we got home. The only difference is I got really sweaty from the heat and walking. Dogs don't sweat, it's unfair.

Walking dogs ain't fun okay. You gotta hold that bloody latch or whatever, pick his poo, see him urinate, force him to enter the pet store. ~phew

To jojo: Now you're groomed and be happy with it alright. I'll go happy with my results. *Wide smiles

A Dentist Trip

I haven't been to a dentist for as long as I can remember. I was really nervous as I sat at the bunch of chairs with other patients. It's an added effect with the drilling sounds and all. Got a filling done with polishing, was really satisfied.

I shall make a yearly trip to my dentist counting from 3, 2, 1, NOW.

Something random. Whenever I get to jp, I always get targeted for surveys or insurance or whatever shit there is. Do I look like a uni grad, that old? Or is it the fact that I'm just too approachable? (If that's the case, it's a good thing.)

Summation of the many days

As the title says it all, I'm saying everything in short since I don't blog often anymore.

Because my life is monotonous now, wake up-> watch my dramas -> night watch tv -> sleep.

But yesterday, was an interesting day. Met up at novell's place for project work and we manage to split the jobs and finished in a day! How amazing can that be? I was even thinking that we might need another day to finish it off! Now that day's gonna be a movie marathon I suppose.

And while we're chilling out, some matters just popped out upon a phone text. Now it's solved.

Nonetheless, I got happy later after downloading pps player and I can finally finish that addictive drama! A pity it's chinese subs.

Oh yea, you got that title right. Located somewhere near douby ghaut mrt with quite a far walk to get there and yes, it was really a cosy place for board games. We got the 2hr package that includes lunch (main course+free flow drink+desert+snacks) and boardgaming! Tried our hands on many games and laughter was all that could be heard. =D

On the other hand, I've been making use of my holidays. Unlike the past holidays I used to have, I don't glue myself to the computer as often now. Perhaps because of work and books and mediacorp programmes!

Novell: I just finished Harry Potter & deathly hallows yesterday night! Addiction again! Too bad it's the last book. I'm fantasizing myself in Hogwarts again, haha!

Yum Yum, this is the yoghurt ice cream before the movies! I love it. It's like $4.50 for a small cup and you can choose the flavours to mix with free toppings! ooo~ craving for it now...

This is the chicken chop baked rice from Kim Gary's. I know it doesn't look appealing in the picture, but it was really good with the cheesy flavour! That's why I didn't post up Pris and Jessie's baked rices.
And this are the ice creams we ate at swensen's the other time after our last paper! First to go was sticky chewy choco and the other was peach longan i think. Don't know where my mango banana ice cream picture went to.

Alright, it's like 1.30am in the morning of wednesday and here I am, not asleep.

Earlier in the day, I had a movie "Valentine's day" with jessie, pris, novell, shermaine. We met up earlier and shopped at vivo. Novell joined us for the movie later. The movie was fine, lovey-dovey kind of film. So if you're the kind who believes that true love exists, you'll like this.

After it ended, we headed Kim Gary's for dinner and the baked rice was really really fulling.

Shermaine went off earlier while the rest went to the outdoors of vivo to walk around before catching the train home. But unexpectedly, we stopped by and started talking about life, specifically love. haha.

I never expect to talked such intimate topics to the girls besides clsy, but I did. It was the night, the scenery, that made this a right time to share. I feel really envious of the girls with such troubles, because other than that, they were contented with everything in life.

I wanted to elaborate, but it's better left this way because I want my posts to be happy =D

Maybe I just don't have the fate with Intro Pharm. Even if I really ate the whole notes down my throat, I just still, couldn't do the paper.

But surprisingly, I didn't get as upset as the past few experiences. I guess it's falling too often that makes one numb and perhaps stronger.

Enough of the sad stuff! Here comes holidays and I can finally watch my long list of dramas. Outings with my friends too. Which also means, I need to work more to handle all these. But it's all worth it. I hope my parents can earn a lot today too. Bless them!

OH OH! Yesterday after our last paper, (Bird, Jessie, Julaiha, Pris, Novell, ME, Joe, Yancheng) we went town for lunch! AND it was swensen at a very unusual location, like one would never thought there was actually a restaurant there. The food was really good and cheap since it was a 1-for1 lunch. 10 over dollars for a main course and ice cream! yummy yummy. I'll show you the ice creams we had when I have them =D

We all know it's really common for humans to think negative from time to time, and they varies with mindsets. I'm on the extreme end. So after watching Bubz video on "what really matters and what people think", it keeps me thinking: what life is all about.

People put you down with nasty or truthful comments that really didn't sound pleasant at all. And you start questioning youself: am I really that bad?

After which you brood over so much, thinking all sorts of reasons why people did those and ways to make yourself better, in their perspective.

But before you do that, question yourself. Do you really need to care? Are they important people in your life? And if you think there's really nothing wrong or it doesn't matter, ignore. I know it's hard. But you can only live once, making yourself hurt by such remarks aren't worth.

God made us here to learn to let go of things and live happily in harmony.

We often stare at a closed door when we don't even realise there's another open door. As long as you've tried really hard at your best, whatever outcome it is doesn't really matter anymore. Because you've tried your best, you don't need to be sorry for youself.

So start appreciating everyone around you and let go of your anger/hatred.

I got so tense due to time constraint that I didn't even had the mentality to file even the simplest shit that was suppose to be in the report. And it sucks, because I dwell on it for the rest of the day.

Why do I get shitty results these days man, bad start for year 2010. First was intro pharm, now non-invasive practical. I hope there isn't a next one.

days without maid

last two days of the week were spent at cvl. because cvl trips were so rare, i enjoy it most of the time (except during emergency cases). and i go crazy there because there's nothing much to do besides staring at the x-ray images.

my maid is gone. she's on holiday for three weeks for family problems. query for coming back again, probability of 40 to 50%.

during the days where she isn't around, my mom takes over the chores. as she does the cleaning, she complains on the maid. she collects dust everywhere! hidden places for my mom to find out.

and we children help out the chores too! i bring my mei and bro to the hawker to settle dinner =)

this morning i even went to the wet market with my mom and had breakfast cum lunch together. i love twosomes with my mom.

i used to hate mom a lot when i was little. till about sec2, that's the turning point. the point where i decided to be more outspoken. i hate talking in the past. *you peeps must be raising your brows right now huh? but it's true, i've got the very qian bian face last time. never smile. but i decided to change when i got up to sec3, that's when i met 3 good friends and till now, good as ever. ok i'm sidetracking alr. back to topic.

mom says because i've grown up and mature(although still childish at times), she no longer need to shout at me anymore. that's her way of teaching.

but i no longer bears dis-likeness, because this past, i wouldn't have changed. perhaps i would have become some tyrant bitching about people and laze around, waiting for the sky to fall.

the first week of sch, pretty alright.

results are the worst part. i'm pretty fine with my results for now, although not as good as i expected. but my fear for intro pharm is traumatizing. i dreamt that i got only 10 marks for the paper, worrisome module.

i hate exams. all you do is keep worrying non-stop. when you really did put in all of your effort and results didn't come out as what you expected, you start thinking whether your brain is retarded or not.

whenever i didn't get good results, i always think that my brain is wasting mother earth's resources. retarded, can't stand it.

i know it's all the wrong mindset and what those bullshitties always say about thinking positive doesn't work.

PTN was held yesterday at bird's house!

Very beautifully decorated for christmas and we're warmly welcomed by her family.

anyway, while i was studying this morning, this funny recall happen to zoom across my head.

he was young and playful at that time. my brother was too anyway >.<

my brother hung over a rope with a soft toy at the staircase and manipulated it up and down so that he jumps up and down too.

he tried to bit the toy but he just couldnt do so.

nonetheless, he tried his best.

finally, his razors got the toy and refused to let go, leaving his body swinging in mid-air. even when i tried to carry him and make him release the toy, he didn't want to.

!!! hahaha!!! (laugh please)

anyway it made me laugh while studying.

CVL was as fun as non-invasive cos we get to do hands-on on the very first day!

screwed up a little during the emergency case, think sister will rmb me for it.

then comes thursday when the stapler hid itself somewhere and i have to lend from sister...

now she rmb me for sure! but the two sisters was nice during our stay, smile to us everytime we see them.

friday lecture was awesome, in a way...

this week, elena and me were immersed in vascular lab. at least now we're able to understand the ultrasound images. today was the last day at the department. the staff there were really friendly, at least they are willing to teach you many stuff.

and i've seen many different kinds of patients. today we were even allowed to observed portable case. met bird and huey li.

our trainer was nice, gave us nice comments in our log bk. will kinda miss that lab.

i think i'm half asleep now, cant really tink of anything to blog about although there are lots to.

yay im back!

finally exams are over. time to enjoy before the next sem comes around and deprive me from leisure!

Last friday we just had another clinical chem practical and it is finally my turn to have my blood sample analysed!
very excited!
and blood was taken using this butterfly gadget that looks scary cos it has a tube kinda look. i dunno how to explain how it looks like but anyway, it results in lesser pain. so blood taking was a breeze. =]

however my hdl cholesterol was found out to be at risk level. and wikipedia says that low hdl level leads to cardiovascular disease. so exaggerating. but my total cholesterol is ok, so i shall, for the time being, ignore about it. i can do nothing anyway.

this morning i woke up at 5.45am, i sit up, close my eyes again.
have u ever experience the feeling of waking up early when u didnt had enough sleep and as u close ur eyes, u think abt all sorts of reasons not to turn up for ur appointment?

and yes, i did this morning. and the hardest part is to force urself up. =[

a little abt the event: basically to make a sculpture of some sort that relates to harmony. so jiayu and her sister came up with the structure and we made it up. hua yi team was one of the participants and they won eventually. ex hua yian feels proud. haha.

it was great fun in the beginning. as the sun gets heat up, i feel like im melting, even my sandals are frying.

but this isnt the main point of this post.

i feel so stressed once again, cos i feel that my work are accumulating. here i am dwelling on my report. so little time! today event, tmr work, i seriously need a life planning.

ever since mst, the slacking mode cant seem to be switching off. im suppose to continue with my report on a sat afternoon and i used it to take my super long nap. have no idea why am i so tired(ever since wed's work).

my calculator was nowhere to be seen when i wanted to do my report on a wkday and now it has been found! thinking back, it was kinda bad to suspect the technician that came to my house a few days back to check the mosquito breeding areas. (how can he stole my calculator rite!? but i just forced myself to think that he took it, so that i can buy a new one, hahaha)

anyway, i have long forgotten that i lent to michelle during the mst wk. *blurr once again.

and now, the reason to blog:

1) to inject my blog some words and some feelings rather than just plain pictures

2days ago was 4e2 gals gathering. well, only some turned up but it was fun anyways. astons lunch then spent duno hw many hrs on the kiap machine. kass is eyeing on her stitch all along lor! n poor hamster nobody wants it, but in the end it was exchangeable with a pink smiley. i love it =]

i miss 4e2 gals, n clsy too. we are getting less time for meet ups. how can life be so hectic?

mon's work has literally drained alot of energy, so much so that im feeling so tired even on tue.

the whole sp started temp taking, flashing of sp cards n all, finally the security guards arent bored anymore. =]
